Get out on the trails, because December 5th is Global Fat Bike Day! Here at E-Z Window Cleaning, fat bike riding is one of owner Jason York’s hobbies!
If you aren’t familiar with fat bikes, you might wonder who would want to go biking in December. After all, this time of year, it’s not uncommon to see the trails covered in snow! This doesn’t stop fat bikes, their oversized tires are built to handle snow, mud, sand and swamps. In fact, for many fat bike riders in Wisconsin, this is just the start of their season!
Riding a fat bike this time of year is a great way to combat Seasonal Affective Disorder. Enjoying the fresh air, soaking up some vitamin D, and getting up and active helps elevate mood and reduce stress. It’s much better than spending the season inside!
On Global Fat Bike Day, all fat bike riders are encouraged to get out and ride the trails. Riders can enjoy a solo ride, connect with friends, or find a larger group ride via one of many fat bike enthusiast sites.
