What do Shirley Chisholm, Fredrick Douglas, Jesse Jackson, Thurgood Marshall, and Aretha Franklin all have in common? They were prominent African Americans who helped shape the future of our nation. During the month of February, we are reminded of the myriad contributions of these scientists, educators, legislators, and entertainers who have paved the way for others, but we also have the privilege of honoring present African Americans whose accomplishments we can only wonder of the magnitude of their impact on our world today. Join us in celebrating Black History Month.
