September 4th marks the celebration of workers in America, better known as Labor Day. In 1882, a group of New Yorkers went on a strike to provide an opportunity for laborers to unite and to organize a way to reduce their labor to five 40-hour days. Some states adopted the concept and the movement grew, but it wasn’t until June of 1894 that President Grover Cleveland declared the first Monday of September as a federal holiday.
Most people today recognize Labor Day as the official close of the summer or as the hallmark to the beginning of school, but we at E-Z Window Cleaning want to recognize our great staff for their hard work and dedication on this notable holiday. Without our team of professionals, we could not effectively serve the communities and businesses of Wisconsin. We appreciate the sacrifices and efforts of all of our workers. We hope that this Labor Day provides a moment of relaxation for all as well as an opportunity to reflect on the hard work of the founders to provide us this well-deserved vacation day.
